Original Concept
I knew I wanted a product that communicated my love of nature and was sustainable; and what's more Earth loving than the honey bee. Once the theme was decided, ideas began to flow. I tossed around the idea of a hive or a flower with a bee on it, but really wanted to keep my design simple. I had found a few images of honey in hexagon shaped glass jars and instantly fell in love with that shape. I have always loved thicker perfume bottles, they just seem a lot fancier to me. The combination of earthy with the bees and elegance with the sleek shape of the bottle brought together both of the elements I wanted my line to communicate.

final Product
For the final design I decided to add some hexagon shaped cutouts to resemble a honey comb. Making the whole bottle filled with the honey comb cut outs was too overwhelming. So to calm the design down and keep the simple, elegant look, a few randomized honeycomb patterens were cut out around the bottle. As for the name, Sweeter than Honey, my roommate was actually the one to came up with it, so to her I owe the name of my perfume.
